We’re looking for individuals to work as employees, taking care of pets in our clients’ homes. We’re seeking team members to help us provide the high level of customer care our clients have come to expect from us.
This job is an excellent opportunity to make supplemental income. Ideal for folks who work from home with a flexible schedule; folks with availability before and after their full time job; techies who work from home; online students; Empty Nesters, part-time vet techs and Retirees.
Daily Dog Walker: Walks are usually for 30-minutes between 11am-3pm, M-F. You must have daily availability M-F, to qualify for this position.
Vacation Pet Sitter: Visits are usually from 2-14 days. Dog visits are usually 30-minutes 2-3 times daily. Cat and small mammal visits are usually 30-minutes once or twice daily.
You’ll be in charge of your own schedule – accepting only the jobs for which you have interest and availability.
Assignments will be less than 10 miles of your home located in the 27701, 27704, 27705, 27707, 27713 or 27517 zip codes.
Ideal Candidates Will:
Own a reliable, insured car and can drive in all types of weather.
Commit to working with us for at least one year. This is NOT seasonal work.
Be physically able to walk dogs of ALL sizes, in ALL types of weather.
Have a smart phone and printer.
Be at least 21 years old.
All Sitters: Must be available to work most holidays. Don’t worry – you’ll be paid extra for working on holidays.
Hours/Pay: You are paid per visit completed. Starting base pay $9.00 per 30-minute visit. Details to be discussed at interview. We are a certified employer of the Durham Living Wage Project.
You will be an Employee of the company, not an Independent Contractor. Thus, in addition to a very competitive rate of pay, you’ll receive the benefits of the company will pay for your liability insurance and bonding. You’ll also be covered under the company’s Workers Compensation policy. You’ll be provided with company-paid, ongoing training. As your experience grows with the company, pay increases will follow. We reward our terrific employees!
